Chloe O'Gara

Program Officer, Global Development and Population Program, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation

Session Speaker

Chloe O’Gara

Chloe O’Gara directs the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation’s grants to strengthen the data, evidence base, and knowledge about women’s economic empowerment and to explore the role of child care in women’s economic empowerment. Strengthening two-generation approaches to addressing poverty and social ills has long been a focus of O’Gara’s work because multisectorial policies and programs for women and children can improve lives in two generations and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. Previously, O’Gara served in leadership, management, technical, and programmatic capacities at Save the Children International, the Academy for Educational Development, Wellstart International, the U.S. Agency for International Development (where she was Acting Director for Women in Development), and several universities.
